The Province of South Holland, the Technology University of Delft and Rotterdam City cooperate on the implementation of RainGain in The Netherlands. A high-resolution rainfall radar will be tested in Rotterdam in the coming months. With radar measurements at a scale of 30x30 square meters it will be possible to observe rainfall at street level, a degree of accuracy that will improve prediction and management of local floods.

This survey was designed by the Province of Zuid-Holland and the consultancy company Procap to determine the needs of the local and regional water managers, policy makers and other professionals in The Netherlands. The objective of the survey is finding out the opportunities for flood prevention policies and the exploration of the radar data in (commercial) applications.


Interested Dutch stakeholders are kindly invited to complete it. The average time to complete the survey is 10 minutes. The survey will close on 8th of May 2014 and the results will be available on www.raingain.eu
